Obama Presidential Center & Museum

The Obama Presidential Center & Museum is a landmark cultural institution dedicated to preserving and sharing the story, legacy, and impact of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. This immersive museum experience combines multimedia storytelling, interactive exhibits, and custom fabricated environments to engage visitors and inspire future generations. As part of the project team, I supported the successful delivery of exhibit components from technical development through fabrication and installation.

Exhibits

My role on the Obama Presidential Center & Museum encompassed project leadership, technical coordination, procurement, fabrication management, and installation support throughout the exhibit delivery process.

I led the detailing and engineering team through the development and review of fabrication drawings, coordinating closely with clients, designers, engineers, and internal stakeholders to ensure design intent, constructability, and project requirements were achieved. Beyond technical development, I managed procurement activities, coordinated material sourcing, and oversaw fabrication efforts both internally and through specialized subcontractors.

Throughout production and installation, I worked closely with senior project management, fabrication teams, vendors, and field personnel to maintain schedule, quality, and budget objectives. My involvement extended through site installation support, including on-site coordination and problem-solving as required to ensure successful project execution.

Below is a snippet of the exhibits I had direct involvement with.

Project Execution Impact

The Obama Presidential Center & Museum represents far more than a collection of exhibits. It’s an investment in community, education, and opportunity. Designed to inspire future generations through the story of public service, leadership, and civic engagement. The Center will serve as a lasting resource for the South Side of Chicago and visitors from around the world. It was an honor to contribute to a project that will educate, inspire, and create opportunities for decades to come. I’m grateful to have had an opportunity to work on this project.
