La Nube (El Paso Children’s Museum) Anything’s Possible Climber
The centerpiece of La Nube is a highly intricate, geometric, four-story climbable structure. Serving as a primary technical anchor for this scope, my role expanded across the entire project lifecycle—seamlessly bridging the gap between advanced technical detailing, multi-disciplinary engineering, and cross-functional project management to bring this world-class environment to life.
My Role & Key Execution Areas:
Technical Detailing & BIM Coordination: Spearheaded the 3D modeling, detailing, and BIM coordination to generate the comprehensive fabrication documents for all structural and thematic elements.
Cross-Disciplinary Management: Acted as the primary coordination hub across distinct professional disciplines, aligning project managers, designers, structural engineers, and internal fabrication teams.
Vendor & Subcontractor Oversight: Sourced, vetted, and managed multi-disciplinary subcontractors and specialized vendors to execute complex components to exact specifications.
Museum-Wide Scope Expansion: Beyond the central climber, coordinated the detailing, fabrication, and installation workflow for various thematic galleries and interactive exhibit zones throughout the museum.

Completed installation
In addition to my involvement with the Climber, I had the opportunity to be a part of the detailing, fabrication, coordination, installation, etc. on more “normal” exhibit areas. Below is a small showcase of the various zones in the rest of La Nube that I had varying levels of direct involvement with.

Project Execution Impact
La Nube was a massive milestone that required managing immense structural complexity, tight physical tolerances, and an extensive network of specialized vendors. By serving as the central link between the engineering files and the fabrication floor, I ensured that hundreds of disparate custom elements, from complex geometries to interactive electronics, all were successfully fabricated, delivered, and installed to meet the highest standards of safety and design intent.
